Echinacea – With a strong tradition of use for improving immune system function, Echinacea is a lymphatic herb with antiseptic and tissue healing properties.
Cleavers – Traditionally a lymphatic herb, Cleavers has tissue toning and anti-inflammatory properties.
Elderflower – A tonic to mucous membranes, helping to prevent catarrh and maintain function. The flowers are a strong antioxidant, traditionally used to improve immunity.
St John’s Wort* -Research has shown that St John’s Wort modifies stress hormones, as well as supporting the removal of metabolic waste from the body. It has anti-oxidant activity, and shows promise in cancer prevention.
Plantain – Historically used for inflammation and to heal the skin, Plantain is used in other cultures to improve immune system function as it contains anti-oxidant compounds that support mucous membranes – a first line of defence against infection.
Nettle Leaf – A blood tonic useful for improving iron levels and encouraging metabolic waste removal via the kidneys.
